Our value

Pioneering expertise and knowledge on materiality, environmental impacts of digitalization and related risks

Environmental crisis, energy shocks, geopolitical reshuffling, trade wars, growing inequalities. All these phenomena are tied together in our century’s history. Next-gen knowledge needs to be multidisciplinary and based on a systems approach. We are working to produce this knowledge to understand how digitalisation will evolve over the course of this century.

Coaching that leads to relevant action

We shouldn’t need another IPCC report to know how to make our world sustainable. Knowledge alone doesn’t guarantee better decision-making as long as you haven’t managed to navigate the pitfalls that lie ahead. Through coaching and training we help you make sure that better knowledge translates into better decisions.

Combining the best of both worlds – the 1+1 Approach

A dual expertise to probe your strategic and organisational decisions with both science-based analysis and tailor-made change management.

Materiality first

For years we have been monitoring the digital materiality and its supply chains. We use satellite imagery, OSINT, macroeconomic modelling, material flow analysis to assess material and industrial dependencies of the digital sector and of the sectors that rely on it.

Pioneering science-based knowledge

We are a diverse team of engineers and PhDs who are passionate about asking the right questions rather than adhering to disciplinary boundaries. Our research agility enables us to investigate emerging topics in depth and generate new knowledge quickly.

Open source / open data tools

In a particulary complex and opaque industry, we believe in transparency, auditability and community. We build and contribute to open-source tools and open data to improve knowledge on digital infrastructures and their impacts.

Hubblo brings a singular, rigorous approach to digital and environmental research — thorough, precise, well-documented. We’re running an ongoing research programme together, and it’s proving genuinely productive. A small team, but sharp and efficient, with real integrity in how they work. A collaboration we value.

Systems thinking approach

As we work with your teams, we focus on the dynamics that may be perpetuating the systems in which you currently feel stuck. Whether these relate to individual, organisational or ecosystem-level factors, we identify and address them together.

Cooperation

Working together towards a common goal is neither simple nor intuitive. This is made all the more challenging by the fact that time plays a central role in all organisations. During our group sessions, we offer facilitation methods designed to effectively structure communication and decision-making processes.

Dealing with conflicting demands

Dealing with uncertainty and conflicting demands at the same time puts additional pressure on already busy schedules. We provide one-to-one support to your senior managers to help them manage their responsibilities effectively and with greater peace of mind.

This workshop made it easier for us to establish a framework for our adoption of AI that is in line with our values.
