His 25 years of experience in the technology industry as an entrepreneur and product manager, as well as his many assignments assessing the environmental impact of digital technology, have given him a deep understanding of the complex stages involved in the design of digital products and services. He has contributed to a number of ADEME studies and critical reviews and is the main author of the article “Impacts importés des data centres: l’angle mort des analyses territoriales des impacts du numérique”, which enabled him to examine the main models for assessing the consumption of data centres. Working in private, public and academic contexts, he is particularly interested in the international state of open data. Eric is also co-founder of the Boavizta collective, which brings together private and public organisations and academics to develop methods, data and tools to better assess, understand and reduce the environmental impact of digital technologies.
